Bye bye Venezia, hello Roma!!
Today we said goodbye to beautiful Venice and took the Frecciarossa down to Rome. Took the metro to our hotel and rested up followed by a late wander to the centre and a picnic in our room. Sleep now!
From foot to ball!
A somewhat gruelling 8 hour train ride from the bliss of Sorrento and Napoli today we travelled down the coast to the bottom of Italy's boot and crossed the Straight of Messina by boat across to Sicily. Europe's last train-boat. The train drove onto the ferry. Very Novell! We then continued down to Catania and to our final base for a few days. This evening we took to the pool, followed by some food and now bed! Wrecked.
